Dr. Sijo James T. Parker

Dr. Sijo James T. Parker has been certified by some of the world's most famous martial arts Grandmasters. This proves that his ability as a martial arts master has been truly recognized.

Great Grandmaster Shum Fei Che:

Grandmaster Shum Fei Che was Master Parker's first instructor. He did not award colored belts or sashes, nor were paper certificates important to him. He would call you by your title and for his disciples that was enough.

Grandmaster Teh Huang Ming :

After the passing of G.M. Shum, Master Parker begun a student -instructor relationship with Grandmaster Teh Huang Ming who was a closed door student of Great Grandmaster Chao Yuh Feng. Master Parker was promoted to the rank of 7th Degree Master.

Grandmaster Hanshi Lou Angel:

Master Parker left Grandmaster Teh Huang Ming to develope his own identity and re define the skills that he considered "TRUE MARTIAL ARTS." It was then he sought out another Martial Arts Pioneer, Hanshi Lou Angel.

In 1959, after having studied Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Isshin-Ryu and Shotokan Karate, Hanshi Angel was introduced to Grandmaster Peter Urban who had studied under Master Gogen Yamaguchi in Japan. Hanshi Angle was so impressed with the Goju system that he too adopted it as his lifelong choice. Hanshi Angel's first school opened in 1960 in Brooklyn, New York under Peter Urban. It was so successful that Hanshi Angel decided to spread Goju into the mid west because no one was teaching Karate there at the time.
Like his teacher, Master Urban, Hanshi Angel traveled to Japan in 1963 to study under Master Yamaguchi. Master Yamaguchi presented Angel the rank of San Dan, 3rd degree Black Belt, and made Hanshi Angel Southwest Branch Instructor for the Goju-Kai

In 1987, after forming the Tenshi Goju Kai, Angle was awarded the title Hanshi, with the rank of 10th Dan. Hanshi Angel returned to his teacher, Peter Urban who acknowledged him as the Hanshi of the Tenshi Goju Kai. He was awarded the title of founder and head of the family by the world head of the family sokeship council, the most prestigious Grand Masters Society in the world.

With Hanshi Angel, Master Parker received his Eight, Ninth and ultimately with the formation of his Bai Kai Kung Fu System, Master Parker was awarded the title of Sijo along with the rank of 10th Degree.

Grandmaster Parker's rankings all stem from individuals whose name and title has brought them to world recognition. The World Head of the Family Sokeship Council emblem appears next to those Masters who are a members of the worlds most Prestigious union of Grandmasters. There are no fees associated with this membership , and membership is by invitation only. This is an exclusive Union of the top grandmasters of 9th or 10th dan ranking from around the world.
